About WhiskStory
I’m Clara. I cook at home, test recipes, and write things down as I go. WhiskStory started as a personal place to keep track of recipes that actually worked in a normal kitchen, with limited time and no special equipment.
I didn’t grow up following strict recipes. Meals were adjusted, tested, fixed, and sometimes reworked completely. That habit stuck. I care more about whether something works on a regular weeknight than whether it looks impressive on paper.
Over time, WhiskStory became a place where I share recipes I make more than once, tweak after mistakes, and return to because they fit into everyday life. Nothing here is rushed. Nothing is written to sound clever.
How I Test Recipes
Every recipe on this site is cooked start to finish in my own kitchen. If something doesn’t hold up after a second or third cook, it doesn’t get published. Measurements are realistic. Steps are written the way I actually do them. I adjust seasoning, timing, and texture until the result feels right, then simplify the process so it’s easy to follow. I add notes only when they help, based on what actually happened while cooking. If a recipe doesn’t work in a real kitchen, I don’t publish it.
